In a large heavy pot, boil the potatoes with the garlic in salted water until fork tender. Drain. Mash the potatoes together with the garlic. While still warm, mix in butter, sour cream, cream and the cheese, bacon and green onions. Season with salt and pepper.
You can make this dish the day before, just spread them in a casserole and refrigerate. Cover and reheat at 325 for about 25 minutes.
Tip: If the cheese, cream and sour cream are at room temperature, your potatoes will stay nice and fluffy
